Company Description:

ElaadNL is operating as a non-profit knowledge center, founded by the Dutch grid operators (DSOs) to investigate the impact of electric mobility on our energy grids. ElaadNL is the knowledge and innovation center in the field of Smart Charging and is doing research on newer technologies regarding Smart Charging.

Role and main tasks within the project:

ElaadNL will provide knowledge to the project partners to give a clear view of the Power Quality behavior on the electricity grid, influenced by DC fast chargers and (wireless) induction chargers. The following aspects are related to the Power Quality (PQ) behavior: different types of (harmonic) distortions, maximum allowed levels, and the recommended maximum of other phenomena without norms; examples are supraharmonic currents and inrush currents. This information will be used as a maximum allowed distortion baseline for the PQ improvements used in WP2.
